I attended Glen Rose from k-12. I then went to the College of the Ouchitas in 2010 and received my associate's degree in 2012. From there I enrolled at Henderson State University where I earned my Bachelor of Science in Education in 2014. One year later I returned to Henderson State University to complete my Master's in Special Education in 2017. Later, I enrolled at Arkansas State University to begin my Education Specialist Degree in Special Education which I am currently pursuing. I also returned to Henderson State University in Spring 2020 to start my endorsement for Special education Examiner.

This is the start of my fifth year teaching at Wilson Intermediate School. I started teaching at Wilson Intermediate school in August 2016. I currently teach fifth-grade and sixth-grade resource math. 

I have been teaching for seven years now. I taught kindergarten at Exalt Academy in Southwest Little Rock and preschool at First Step in Malvern. 

I am married to Derek Hughes, who works at Teeter Motor Co and was a Malvern Leopard. We have two wonderful children. My son’s name is Joseph, and he is eleven years old. He attends Wilson Intermediate School and is currently in the fifth grade. My daughter’s name is Gracey, and she is five years old. She is starting kindergarten at Malvern Elementary School this school year. I have way too many pets to name including three dogs and three cats.
