What is Read 180? 

Read 180 is an intensive reading program designed to help meet the needs of students who are reading below grade level. 

How is the deficit in reading addressed in the classroom?

There are three sections to a Read 180 classroom: instructional software, high-interest fiction and nonfiction books, and direct instruction in reading and writing skills.

How do I know if my child needs Read 180?

A fifth grade student between 700-1000 is proficient in reading. A sixth grade student between 800 to 1050 is proficient in reading. 

How are students in Read 180 assessed? 

Students are given the SRI which gives a lexile level on the student.
